Reasons Why A Husband Does Not Want To Have Sex With His Wife 1

This is not as uncommon as people may think. Men and women are still marring the opposite sex because they are in denial of their sexuality and want to be heterosexual. The man realizes after the honeymoon phase that he is just not able to perform sex with his wife anymore, this leaves her feeling like she is unattractive, and unloved.

Some men don’t want to admit that they may be gay and try to get married and live a “normal” life then realizing that they now made a mistake after marriage and children, they turn to drugs and alcohol .

Reasons #5 Undiagnosed medical condition

type=text If a husband has been having regular sex with his wife and then seems to stop for no apparent reason, but is still attracted to her and loving to her, then he may need to go see a doctor for a full physical.

Unfortunately with certain types of cancer, heart disease, strokes, hormones and a number of other health related issues this can definitely impact a man’s libido showing up as a lack of desire. Diabetes is a problem that can affect a man’s libido, with his sugar levels unregulated, or even if he has been diagnosed and is on medication. One big problem is blood pressure, this can affect a man getting an erection which can cause him to have anxiety over it and create a psychological issues. One of the first questions that I ask my male clients is if they wake up in the morning with a full erection, this usually will indicate if they do have a medical problem or not, having one is normal! Not having one is not normal and a man should get a physical. One other issue that may happen is his hormone levels are off, meaning that he is not getting enough testosterone. This leads into the next reason why a man may not want to have sex with his wife and that is being over weight.

Reason #6 Weight gain and unhealthy eating

type=text When a man puts on an excess amounts of weight at any age it can increase his estrogen levels throwing off his hormones. This weight gain can often times feminize a man and reduce his libido. Some men may still be able to have sex but find it harder to perform because of the excess weight and then just give up on sex all together. Having increased belly weight and breast fat is not healthy and not masculine.

A man may also feel some shame around the weight gain needing some encouragement from his wife to help him lose the weight. Weight can add to a mans low self esteem issues and create depression causing lack of sexual desire. Being over weighed affects the smell a man has, his natural pheromone, and women are unconsciously attracted to men through their noses. There are studies written about women who pick their mate just from his smell, it has to do with the best possible biological mate. “It’s not love at first sight but scent at first smell”

Women living in sexless marriage

If you are a woman who is living in a sexless marriage, you are not alone there are many women in the same situation, but not dealing with it is unfair to yourself. A marriage is about loving each other in many ways and sex is an important factor in a marriage and should not be brushed under the table and not dealt with. The more women that begin to speak out about this issue will help other women that have been living in shame for years.
