DEVICE DESCRIPTION

The Spectra device comprises of a pair of cylinders that are seen getting surgically implanted, one over each of the corpus cavernosum in order to provide the penile rigidity. The proximal rigid section, comprising of the 9.5 mm diameter cylinders that happen, to be 5 cm long. For the 12 mm and 14 mm   diameter cylinders this section is 6 cm long. Spectra cylinders are found in capacities like 9.5, 12, and 14 mm of diameters. Each of the cylinder diameters are found in three different lengths: 12, 16, and 20 cm. The total length can easily adjusted by simply adding the rear tip extenders (RTEs) to the proximal end of the each and every cylinder. A range of RTE lengths are seen getting included to gather the patient’s total intracorporal length . The addition of RTEs can be seen extending to the cylinder length from 0.5 to 7.5 cm .
